A classically trained pastry chef with honors from Le Cordon Bleu, Kayla traded ordinary bakeries for something a little more... infernal. Too much wood left splintered after particularly enthusiastic evenings.
Most of it was destined for the furnace.
Then Chicago-bound arrived.
Nobody is entirely sure whether he was damned, summoned, or simply wandered downstairs after seeing a perfectly good chair leg someone was about to throw away.
But he took one look around Hell and said:
“I can make something out of that.”
And unfortunately for everyone else, he could.
Chair legs became handles.
Discarded leather found new purpose.
Salvaged wood returned as implements considerably more wicked than anything it had been before.
Soon, Hell stopped burning its scraps.
They started leaving them outside his door.

They say more than 20 years ago, Mac and Rita started with a few handmade toys and a simple idea: make enough to keep traveling from con to con.
But people kept coming back.
For the whips.

And somewhere along the way, their little traveling operation became TheKinkShop.com.
Today, the family trade has passed to Rita's son, Trent. The workshop in Shreveport has grown to five times its original size. Three teams now travel the circuit.
But some things haven't changed.
The toys are still made in their backyard shop.

TWILIGHT EMBER KINKERY 🔥
They say the Midway looks different at twilight.
Just as the last light slips behind the tents, a strange little glow appears between the booths—deep orange, almost red, like an ember refusing to die.
That’s when Twilight Ember Kinkery opens for business.
The story goes that Lady Ember once kept a workshop beneath the Midway, tucked somewhere below the old carnival grounds. While the barkers shouted and the rides screamed overhead, she worked below—cutting, fastening, testing, and creating restraints for every kind of creature that wandered through her door.
But Lady Ember had one rule:
If you’re going to bind someone, make damn sure the bindings were made for the person wearing them.
So she abandoned the old ways.
Leather wasn’t required. Latex wasn’t required. Bodies didn’t have to bend a certain way, fit a certain size, or possess a particular amount of strength.
Instead, strange new materials began appearing from her dungeon workshop—silicone rubber, PVC, nylon, velvet, bamboo silk—things that could survive messy nights, dungeon floors, packed suitcases…and whatever questionable decisions happened after midnight.
Her creations became known for something unusual on the Midway:
They adapted to the people wearing them.
Restraints with accessible releases.
Pieces made for different bodies and flexibility levels.
Gear that could change hands when the Top suddenly became the bottom.
And beautiful little inventions for people who weren't entirely sure what they wanted yet…but were very interested in finding out.
